Bridging benefits
If you retire before age 65, on a reduced or unreduced
pension, you will receive a temporary bridging benefit in addition to your
monthly lifetime pension. It is called a “bridging benefit” because it
“bridges” you from the date of your early retirement to age 65 - when you
become eligible to start to receive an unreduced pension from the Canada
Pension Plan.
The bridging benefit is paid until you turn 65 or die,
whichever comes first.

the bridging benefit is calculated.
